For the past few months, I have floated the idea around to start a "show and tell" for things that are C++-related. Unlike the more social/relaxed BB Rovers meetups, these would involve laptops and presentation slides. Presentation topics could range from one's own projects to just something cool you found on the Internet.
My apartment building has a conference room with 14 chairs, whiteboards, and a large wall-mounted display that we can use for this purpose. Since this is an experiment and I don't know how many people will be interested, the format is not set in stone. I was thinking each session would have one or two "presentations" scheduled. But then leftover time could be divided up for anyone with something to show.
Saturday afternoons seemed like a nice time to schedule it. I live about 2 miles south of downtown and it would be convenient for anyone headed out for evening plans to stop in, so 5pm is my initial suggestion. I picked the 22nd so that it can be conveniently announced at the next BB Rover's meetup and be not so far away that people will forget it. But we can push it to later if that means more interested folks can make it...!
