EVEN MORE IMPORTANT!

Our contact at United Future, where we normally hold our meetings is moving onto bigger and better things and with him gone we no longer can use them as a venue.  Our Orgaizational team is feverishly trying to find us a new home but on our next meetup Feb 15, 2012 we are going to hold the meeting at my new Apartment in the North San Fernando Valley.  The directions are simple: from the 118 (Ronald Regan Freeway) get off on Balboa Blvd. and head south. After 3 major lights you will see it on the left.  The address is 10540 Balboa Blvd. Apartment 123 (bottom floor).  Click here (http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wlY) for the map of my place and then click Get Directions and enter your address and Google Maps will point you right to us.

Thank you for understanding and I am truly sorry for changing, days, speakers and now venues on you all.  But I will make it up by having hot pizza and cold beer (near beer of course as we don't want anyone drinking and driving ;) ).  And I am sure the Mr. Bryan Wilhite will wow us with his presentation; he is just crazy smart like that.  So, I will see you all at my apartment on Wed Feb 15th at 7pm.

IMPORTANT!

The date and presenter has changed for theFeb LASLUG meetup.  First, it is on a Wed instead of Thus and the presenter will not be our very own Bryan Wilhite.  Here is an abstract of his very interesting talk:

Silverlight Consultant for 20th Century Fox Filmed    Entertainment, Bryan Wilhite will present on how we “play” with    technology. How often have we heard some developer/designer answer a    question like, “Have you played with such-and-such technology    lately?” The answer is often, “Yeah, I’ve been playing with it a    little.” Now ask, ‘Where is that play area?’ What exactly are we    doing when we “play” with a new technology? Bryan has formalized his    play activities by building “Biggest Box” projects—butterfly    collections of code he actually uses in day-to-day work that are    designed to evolve with his increasing skill level and packaged to    be presentable to others (like potential clients). Bryan will cover    his Silverlight “Biggest Box”, which is live on      his studio web site and reposed at CodePlex.com.

Cannot make it in person?  Be sure to watch us stream live, brought to you by our sponsors,  Infragistics and Redgate along with many more such as DevExpres.  Hopefully, hour AV representative, Merick has worked out all the bugs.  So, we should have three cameras and audio playing as well.  You can find the live stream here: http://windowspresentationfoundation.com/LASLUG/Online/

Thank you all and I apologize for the late notice change! Victor Gaudioso
