More Cool Shares, Updating the OC Flash Site, Book Benefits & Raffle Rules, How do WE Want to Stay Connected, and How to Deliver Flash Across Multiple Applications Part 2 - Tuesday, May 1

Thank you to all that participated in our April OC Flash meeting, and a special thanks to those who shared their cool tricks and such (and those of you who ran up and down the stairs to let us in)!

Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 1st, 2012 from 6:30 pm ? 8:30 pm at roundpeg in Newport Beach. Our agenda will be:

  • Mike McGready will show the final version of the countdown timer project he reviewed at the April meeting. This version is more complex and has much cleaner code. Mike will briefly explain how each segment of code achieves the variations requested by his client after seeing the first version.
  • Tom Bull will share his Perth video with us.
  • We will discuss the next steps for the OC Flash website and contents (www.OCFlash.com).
  • We will compile a list of books you would like for raffle prizes from one of our generous sponsors and review the raffle rules (note: the drawing will be at our June meeting!).
  • We will discuss if, and how, we want to stay connected between our meetings (it's always great to have resources and/or job opportunities easily accessible, no?)
  • We will also continue our discussion regarding how we can use Flash and other Adobe tools to deliver apps to a wide audience with a minimum of redundancy in development.

How can YOU make this meeting a success? Thanks for asking! YOU can:

  • Review our book sponsor site and make note of books YOU would like to win (www.manning.com, www.peachpit.com, and www.focalpress.com).
  • YOU can come prepared with your thoughts about if and how we want to stay connected on an ongoing basis
  • YOU can reply indicating will be attending the meeting (for food, of course) and add a comment indicating a quick note about what YOU will be sharing with the group. Estimate that you will have 10 minutes for sharing time.

We look forward to seeing YOU on May 1st!

~ Jeff & Caprice, OC Flash Co-Managers
