?For our June 13th SharePoint Users Group, we'll present "SharePoint Administration: Best Practices & Tips from the Field" by Nedra Allmond and Wahid Saleemi.
This session is similar to what was presented at SharePoint Satuday Los Angeles 2012. However, we'll speed through the slides and get to some demos in a live environment.
In this session, attendees will learn to sift through the clutter of ULS logs, Event Logs, SharePoint Health Analyzer and focus on the most common areas that affect users. In the session, we?ll give attendees some free tools, scripts, and ideas on how to automate the maintenance of their SharePoint Farm.
The job of a SharePoint Administrator is one of the most demanding. Your responsibilities often include infrastructure (servers), operations, optimizations, user training, even development. That, in addition to the day to day user support/helpdesk.
We?ll talk about how best to handle all of that. We explore some best practices and tips we've learned from managing SharePoint in different organizations. Whether you have a large budget (anyone?) or no budget, we?ll propose solutions to help make you a more efficient administrator.
