For those attending the Oracle Developer Day, or for those who can't make it but would like a taste of whats new, Oracle will be running a session in the evening for the MelbJVM group.
The session will be run by Oracle Java Evangelist, Angela Caicedo, who has graciously agreed to do an extra session on JavaFX. The topic / format is open, but Angela has advised she can run something along the following lines:
Option 1: Deep dive into JavaFX (intro + advanced session)
Option 2: Advanced JavaFX. This will be a new session, covering interface layout, performance, JavaFX and other languages, and other advanced topics.
Option 3: Workshop
To help plan a venue, and a time, I'd like to please get an idea of who can make it - who is already going to the dev day vs coming after work. For the former, when can you make it. We can start almost as soon as the dev day finishes or wait depending on availability. So please answer the questions when you RSVP, and I'll be in touch closer to the date with further details.
