6:00pm - 8:00pm, The New World of Performance Testing, Goranka from Facebook
The world of performance testing has changed dramatically over the last two decades. As more and more products and services live in cloud, performance testing has become increasingly important. Questions like:
How quickly will the system respond?
How many machines (servers, load balances, switches, etc.) do we need?
What happens when a machine (or a rack, cluster, data-center) fails?
What is the performance cost of a new feature?
have long been labeled as difficult and expensive?
This talk will address answering these questions and dispel some myths. What do you really need in order to become a performance "expert", how do you go about testing and analysis, what do your results mean? Yes, there is some math and statistics involved, but no expensive tools or courses are required.
8:00pm - 8:30pm, Lucky draw & Mingle
