=== Agenda =====
5:30pm - 5:50pm, Snack & social
5:50pm - 6:00pm, Introduction
6:00pm - 8:00pm, Kanban: Quality through transparency by Jim Benson.
Creating software is sometimes simple, sometimes complicated, sometimes complex, and sometimes (maybe too often) devolves into pure chaos. In this two-hour talk / conversation, Jim Benson, creator of Personal Kanban, and Agile / Kanban thought leader, will discuss using visual systems and shared narratives in development. These visual systems (including, but not only kanban) provide transparency into what is being built, why it is being built, who it is being built for, what stage of development it is in, what is the level of complexity involved, what happens after it is built, and more. This deeper project and task understanding calms teams down, reduces technical debt, and helps everyone make better decisions.
8:00pm - 8:30pm, Lucky draw & Mingle
speaker's bio:
Jim's background includes psychology, urban planning, government technology planning, software development, and corporate change management. In 1999, he started his software development company, Gray Hill Solutions which immediately began doing successful agile projects for government clients. In 2008, he launched Modus Cooperandi - a company designed to develop new collaborative and agile processes and tools. One of these tools is Personal Kanban, designed specifically to bridge the agile gap between team and team member. Modus has worked with startups, Fortune 10 companies, and world governments.
We are actively seeking new sponsors and speakers for future meetups...
