MongoDB: The Document Based NoSQL database Over the past couple of years there has been a Buzz about NoSQL. NoSQL is just a buzzword for several trends in new databases that are not based on the tried and proven Relational Database paradigm. One category of NoSQL is the document based database database, and a leader of that space is MongoDB.
Justin Dearing (@Zippy1981) is one of the MongoDB Masters recognized for his contributions to the MongoDB Community, He is been working in the IT world for over a decade at various companies on the operations and development side of the house. These days Justin's focus is on PowerShell, C#, PHP, MongoDB and Microsoft SQLServer. He writes about his work and technologies that keeps him awake at nights at his blog. In addition to afflicting the world with apps that use MongoDB, he has contributed to the core server and the official .NET driver. He will explain what MongoDB is, and talk about what technologies can be integrated with it. He will also talk about good and bad use cases for MongoDb.
