The Cleveland WPF User Group is devoted to Windows Presentation Foundation and Silverlight technologies. The meetings are held every 3rd Tuesday discussing a variety of topics related to WPF and Silverlight. The meetings are free and open to the public. In addition, prizes such as software, books, and t-shirts are awarded at every meeting. Afterwards, many members meet at a local restaurant to network and socialize. Description: Whether you are creating applications to run on millions of desktops or server side applications that only your network administrators will set up, your most lasting impression will be that of your installation experience. This session will give an overview of the free WiX toolset and how to create and maintain a great installer, including your SilverLight Out Of Browser applications. We will then dive deeper into the flexibility provided by WiX by integrating into our build script, perform deep customization of the installation process and bring in provisioning of other services like IIS configuration and database deployments. Attend and learn about how to make a great first impression with WiX.
