Tue, 12 Mar 2013, 18:00 - 20:00 (Add to calendar) GMT
801 East 91st Street , Tulsa, US

Join us for an evening of free SQL training, free pizza, free SQL prizes, and networking with Tulsa area IT professionals.

OU-Tulsa Learning Center, Room 136

Tulsa SQL President Jeremy Marx presents "Are You Reading Between the Lines?"

We'll focus on Isolation Levels and how they affect concurrency (multiple transactions accessing shared data simultaneously) as well as the consistency (read data remaining the same throughout the transaction) of the data you read and write. You'll leave with a better understanding of the trade-offs between guaranteed consistency and complete concurrency, what phenomena to look for in the middle, how to navigate it all, and why you probably shouldn't.
