This month's JUG is an eclectic mix. We have two presenters again:

  • Alistair Bush is presenting on how Java is bundled for the Gentoo project. Alistair, a Microsoft CRM developer by day and a freedom loving Gentoo developer by night will be giving an indepth analysis of how to go about building the packages that get released for Java on the Gentoo Linux platform.

  • Rob Bygrave is presenting on how he moved a substantial Ant based project (EBean) to Maven and the design decisions and conceptual hurdles overcome. Rob is also willing to extend his talk to re-go over the mechanisms for generating dynamic byte code in case you wish to make add that extra layer of ease-of-use to your standard Java apps. Michael McCallum will be on hand to heckle as usual.
