We will be having our first meeting, to introduce ourselves and meet one another in September. The first topic will be IPTables for firewalling and throttling packets. A lot of you use Linux for web and other applications. It would help if you know the particular ports for your application so that we may open them.
When ever we discuss IPTables, it is a good idea to have wireshark loaded on your computer to follow along. I will bring examples that will require both Wireshark and a simple text editor/reader.
