Now that fall (winter?) has set in we'll skip the roof-top and meet in the second-level bar, in the viewing cubby next to the bar if it is available. If for some reason the second-level bar is closed, plan to meet in the downstairs lounge area.
We have over 50! members now but I've only met about 15 of you. Please come and share your experiences as a programmer in the Madison area. We have self-employed, contractors, work-from-home, entrepreneurs, code monkeys, web monkeys, java monkeys, database monkeys, pixel monkeys, you name it. Looking for a job? We have people looking for programmers too.
Things we've discussed are previous meetings:
* web technologies such as Google Wave
* scripting languages such as Ruby and Pythnon
* compiled languages such as Java, C#, and C++
* source control
* testing/debugging/QA
* working from home
* working in a cube farm
Etc. Ever interesting, never boring, something for everyone.
