HUG8: January HBase User Group at StumbleUpon

This HUG will be about the release of HBase 0.20.3 and what to expect in the next major version, 0.21.0:

0.20.3:

• Better response time to admin commands.
  
• New EC2 scripts.
  
• New contribution for indexed HBase.
  
• Better overall reliability.
  

0.21.0:

• Integration with the fully functional HDFS appends (no data loss).
  
• Parallel inserts.
  
• Updated Thrift API.
  
• Multi-datacenter master/slave replication
  
• Master re-architecture (depending on hadoop's date of release)
