SharePoint as a Development Platform

Abstract:
Why or Why Not should you use SharePoint as a Development Platform?
This is a common question I get asked all the time when I visit a customer. Why should we look at developing on MOSS compared to DotNetNuke, MVC or even standard ASP.NET. What about ASP.NET development if my organization has MOSS? In this presentation we will discuss the pros and cons of using SharePoint as a true development platform for both Intranet and Internet sites. This will allow current ASP.Net developers to further venture into the different Microsoft web based platforms and determine which one might fit it’s organizations current needs. This would also allow anyone currently working with Vanilla SharePoint site to see its full potential.
