This podcast is the long awaited interview with Vim Toutenhoofd, about Python on Nokia phones, Meego, QT, and and his app for hang gliding and sailplanes. At 75 years old, Vim was born in the Netherlands, earned his PhD in Physics in Australia, was a long time research scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder Colorado, where he specialized in piloting sailplanes into the heart of thunderstorms for the sake of scientific data collection and analysis, and is now an active hang glider in the Oregon mountains.
