The whole point of both Atlas and Ajax techniques is to reduce the need for postbacks and complete page reloads, so using these new components should enable you to create more responsive web pages.

ComponentOne Studio Enterprise 2006 v3 now has support for Atlas, the latest Microsoft web development technology. The new components include WebSplitter, a server-side ASP.NET Atlas control; WebInput, a new suite of five data input controls; SuperToolTip for .NET, a new product for adding Windows Vista-style elements to .NET applications; and NavBar and TopicBar, two new components included in Menus and Toolbars for .NET. As well as the Atlas components, it also supports Atlas interoperability across the entire set of ASP.NET components. More general Ajax support is included in WebChart, which also has the same new chart types as Chart for .NET – cylindrical, cone and pyramid charts. The new WebInput collection consists of five different input controls; WebMaskEdit, WebDateEdit, WebNumericEdit, WebPercentEdit, and WebCurrencyEdit. New SmartDesigners for Preview, Menus and Toolbars for .NET make them easier to use.
