Software rights management

Aladdin’s HASP SRM 3.60 software rights management solution’s copy protection now extends to Windows x64 files. For improved usability, the Windows Envelope has a single GUI for protecting Win32, Java, .NET, and Windows x64. So a project containing several components from different environments can now be protected through a single user interface.

New to Aladdin’s HASP line of products is SaaS Pass, which allows on-demand software providers to maximise revenue by preventing users from sharing their username and password with unauthorised individuals. It works by installing a small client application that has been pre-activated for a specific PC (using a HASP SRM software key) on the end-user’s machine to pass the user name and password to the Web application for validation.
