Dan Maharry
Dan Maharry has more than ten years experience as a writer and editor covering the latest in software development. Starting as a technical editor for Wrox Press, he launched ASPToday.com in 1998, one of the first daily content sites for Microsoft web developers, and co-founded a new office for Wrox in Bangalore, India in 2000 focussing on PHP, Perl and other Open source technologies. On leaving Wrox, he continued to write, review and edit articles and books for a variety of companies including Friends Of Ed, Glasshaus, Apress, Wiley, Microsoft Press, Sys-con, Addison Wesley, SAMS, and O’Reilly & Associates, Adaptive Strategy, Telerik, Content Master, Computer Bookshops, PAG, and Microsoft’s e-Learning wing. The books he has worked on have now sold over 750,000 copies worldwide.
Not wishing to preach what he doesn't practice, Dan has also worked as a professional .NET developer since 2005. Initially technical manager for the dotCoop (.coop) top level domain registry, he became Senior Developer for Co-operative Web until December 2010 where his client list included Petro Canada, BNP Paribas, Saint-Gobain Abrasives and Co-operatives UK.
His focus is now very much on making sure DevFusion article code actually works.
