Mobile web development is now more important than ever, and you need to get in the game. Learn about device-specific development as well as general development to mobilize your apps. This talk will use Zend Framework, but the basic concepts can be used anywhere.

Shaun is a Developer for CACI, Inc. working on site at the Library of Congress, where he works with Zend Framework. He is a member of the Zend Framework community review team and one of the organizers of the DC PHP user group.

In his spare time, he works on side projects including Brewery DB, where he is in the process of enabling the site for mobile use on multiple devices, like the iPhone, iPad and Blackberry. Shaun also has experience developing RESTful web-services for Brewery DB using Zend Framework.

The meeting starts at 6:30, and we'll get on with the talk around 7:00. 6:30 - 7:00 is reserved for chit chat, socializing, and pizza eating.

We are meeting in our normal location, at our normal time. Pizza and soda are provided by OmniTI (Thank you so very much!). Come hungry with your PHP hats on. Bring a friend that's interested in PHP or someone looking to refine their skills. The more the merrier.

We'll continue our tradition and conversation with a few drinks afterwards at Frisco Grille's new expanded location.  This is a great opportunity to network and speak with others in the PHP community.
