Emerging Trends in Health Care Information Technology
Karen D. Hill, Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and graduate of East Carolina University’s Health Information Management-Bachelor of Science program, has worked within the Health Information Services departments for two health care systems. Karen has extensive human resources experience, in both the public and private sector, and is a United States Air Force Veteran. She is a volunteer with the North Carolina Health Information Management Association-Charlotte Region (NCHIMA).
Before taking on her current role as the Recruitment and Job Placement Specialist for Central Piedmont Community College’s Health Information Technology Workforce Grant Program, Karen was directly involved in an electronic health record implementation. Through this experience, she is able to give real-world insight on what to expect when speaking to groups regarding CPCC’s HIT Workforce Program and how the program will help all involved with the electronic health record implementation.
