This April, SofTech is offering a special workshop for our monthly meeting
In this 2 hour seminar, Cascade Insights, a competitive intelligence and qualitative market research firm focused on the technology sector, will help you understand how to mine open source intelligence assets (OSINT) such as social media, free web tools, and other targeted search engines and portals to get a crisp view of your competitor’s positioning and their current activity in your market. We’ll also cover how to get a view of competitor culture, strategies, signals from leadership, a deep understanding of their offerings, and how they stack up against a given company’s offering.

In addition we’ll be looking at ways you can complement OSINT research with human intelligence efforts. Through the discussion of a variety of interviewee identification and recruitment techniques we’ll show you how to more easily reach candidates for in-depth interviews who have an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of your competitor. We’ll also discuss how to conduct the entire process, from identification, recruitment, the interviews themselves, and the resulting analysis in a way that meets legal and ethical standards established by the Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP) association.
