You may know that async is something you wash dishes in -- oh wait, that's a sink. Sorry, but async has always been difficult, until now (Chris).

 Asynchronous programming (async) is emerging as a common programming practice, especially in .NET technologies such as Silverlight. In sophisticated scenarios, async can be complex, which is why Microsoft is adding language support in the next version of .NET. This talk will cover the current state of async, what the challenges are, and how your job will be made easier with the new language features. 
 Joe will explain the new language features of the async programming model. These new features provide a new, streamlined syntax for async development. These features make development of async applications--which include everything from desktop applications with responsive UI to sophisticated web applications--much easier for .NET developers, like YOU.
