In a joint venture with the new Boston-Area SproutCore meetup group, we're incredibly fortunate to have Yehuda Katz, SproutCore developer and jQuery Team member, come to Boston to give a talk on SproutCore, so be sure to RSVP now!!
"How do I organize my jQuery code for large applications?" It's a question that comes up over and over again, and is perhaps the most contentious question faced by jQuery developers. SproutCore, a declarative MVC framework built on jQuery, helps to answer that question. When you use SproutCore, you will manipulate the facts in your model and controller layers, and describe how the view should represent those facts. When the facts change, SproutCore will update the view for you. Under the hood, SproutCore uses jQuery to manipulate the DOM, and when you need to, you will also fall back to jQuery when needed.
After this talk, you'll understand how SproutCore builds on jQuery, and how you can use it to build full-fledged applications on the web.
Pizza & beer (thanks to Media Temple) should arrive at 6:30pm, and the talk will start promptly at 7pm!
