In late-2011 and early 2012, Vaughn Vernon published a series of whitepapers/studies discussing some challenges and considerations in the design of effective Aggregate Boundaries in Domain Models (see http://dddcommunity.org/library/vernon_2011 for more info).  If possible, attendees to this meeting are requested to familiarize themselves with these documents prior to the meeting.

In this session, we will review and discuss the experiences, guidance, and lessons-learned outlined in these papers.  Defining (and respecting!) Aggregate Root boundaries is an essential ingredient in successfully applying DDD to software engineering -- don't miss this opportunity to dig deep into this crucial area of effective Domain Driven Design!

Please don't forget to bring a photo ID to get access to our meeting location.

“Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning.” - Rich Cook
