We are back in session with a perfect grass-root topic !

In today's day-long workshop we will learn the skill of being able to learn and apply a new technology quickly.  This in itself is a requirement in today's fast-paced and ever-changing web development landscape.

We will explore the hot technologies of today such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, but also explorer how to navigate through the jungle of emerging technologies to find what you need.  Any technology can be requested - simply let me know and I can show you how to learn it.

In other words, this workshop will attempt to teach you to think like a web developer - hands-on.

This workshop is not for recruiters or people interested in networking.  It is specifically designed for individuals who want to seriously become web developers and want to get a competitive edge in the marketplace while minimizing the trial-and-error process most self-taught web developers go through.

By the end of this workshop you should have the know-how of a real-life geek how to survive in this volatile landscape.  It will be a mix of hands-on coding, motivational speaking, knowledge sharing, discussions, and we will also explore how all of this translates into the job market.

This is a day-long workshop on a Saturday to allow for coding, questions, exercises, and have an interactive experience.

Food and refreshments will be provided.

This event is a trial event to gauge the interest level for this type of a more intimate personal workshop.  If there is enough interest I will organize more of these - otherwise we will just go back to our after-work workshops that will be limited to once or twice a month.

For those of you who wonder whatever happened to my offer of private classes - I will get in touch with you on that front as I am getting back in swing of things.
