This presentation will demonstrate building an Android mobile application that consumes existing services using Xamarin's Mono for Android. Mono for Android leverages Mono - an open-source implementation of the .NET framework. This allows .NET developers to program for the AndroidOS using C# in Visual Studio (or the MonoDevelop IDE if you prefer). During this presentation we will build out the same functionality as done in the companion session 'Building Android Apps in Java and Eclipse'. Speaker Bio Chris Atienza is CTO of Lotic Factor, Inc, a full-service technology consultancy headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia. He has been in IT for almost 2 decades and involved in mobile application development on various platforms for over half that time.
