OK, we've been bouncing around topics recently, but I want to spend the next few months concentrating on our core: Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
I have a few ideas for upcoming talks, and I'll probably decide which one I'll be doing closer to the meeting date. If you want to give a talk, I know Brooke has some, please let me know and we'll make sure you get some stage time!
Two of my talks are similarly titled: "What's neat about Ruby?" and "What's neat about Ruby on Rails?". These two presentations will demonstrate what I find neat about the language and framework, and will be very instructional/hands on.
The other talk, which is more probable, is an introduction to BrowserCMS, a RoR CMS that seems a bit more programmer friendly than Drupal. By programmer friendly I mean you can develop for it w/o a constant stream of expletives flowing from your mouth.
I may try to get the Briargate Panera to give Craig a driving break. Regardless of the Panera, please remember to buy some food or a drink.
Please email me if you would like a specific topic discussed or have ideas for a talk.
