At this In-the-Brain session on Rake and on IronRuby, we will have two speakers and talks. Peter Mounce will talk about using Ruby rake to aid with automating .NET software builds. Michael Delaney will talk about Iron Ruby, a .NET implementation of the Ruby programming language.

Talk 1: Rake.NET Peter Mounce will talk about using Ruby rake to aid with automating .NET software builds - a build script should use a scripting language, because XML hurts too much. Pete will walk through the basics of what rake allows one to do; tasks, file-tasks, and dependencies. He will demonstrate a build script leveraging the rake-dotnet gem and convention over configuration, where tasks do the heavy lifting so you don't have to.

Talk 2: Iron Ruby IronRuby is a .NET implementation of the Ruby programming language, which heavily leverages Microsoft's Dynamic Language Runtime and allows programmers to write Ruby scripts for .NET. [b]
