At this meetup im going to ask that some members provide either a sample of work to show off, a small piece of code you would like to demo and explain, or a problem to present to the group for feedback. Please email me before hand if you would like to present something to the group - or just show up and wing it, were cool like that.

We will start with a presentation from Jonathan Julian:

JavaScript the language has some great features, and it has some not-so-great features. The wise web developer will take advantage of the good parts of the language, while avoiding the parts that can cause bugs, strange behavior, and confusion. Jonathan Julian takes us quickly through Douglas Crockford’s newest book, “JavaScript: The Good Parts”. You’ll learn what features of the language make your job easier, and what parts you should avoid at all costs!

Jonathan is an independent Ruby on Rails and JavaScript developer with over 15 years of professional software experience. He is currently working on two rich web projects, both using ExtJS. You can find him at @jonathanjulian on Twitter, and occasionally blogging at jonathanjulian.com.

Pizza and Refreshments will be provided - everyone is required to have a slice of jalapeno & pineapple pizza.
