Hello everyone!

For those of you who weren't at the first meeting we'll be sure to do introductions so we can all get to know one another. This will only be our second meeting so don't be afraid to show up if you haven't come before, the best part of a group like this is the actual meetings in person!

This month's topic will be the Ruby on Rails web framework overview. It will be high level at the beginning and get a bit more into the advanced features as the talk goes on, but it should still be accessible for everyone.

The 15th was the earliest that I could get us into Titletown Brewing and I'd really like to try that venue out so there we are... the 15th of Sept.

For those of you playing the home game, I'm now officially living 100% in De Pere and my wife and I hope to pick out our house in the next few weeks (what a long process... and we haven't even put in an offer or done the details for financing or inspections, etc yet!). I also recently accepted a full time job as a Systems Developer with Avastone Technologies in Little Chute and I hope to be bringing some of my coworkers to the next meeting.

Now that I'm pretty well settled I'm ready to get back to / start a regular schedule for the meetups. After this meeting I'll come up with a predictable schedule like the first Tuesday of each month or something. Thanks for being patient as I moved up to the area. I look forward to seeing everyone on the 15th for good food, drinks, conversation and of course some tech stuff :-)

If you have a lightning talk that you want to present please let me know! Kimberly is going to show us a trick for creating a layered PSD mockup out of an existing page designed with CSS. If someone else has a 5-10 min quick tip to show email me and we can include it after Kimberly!

Thanks, -Jon Kinney
