If Cloud Computing is going to be the future of computing infrastructure (servers, storage, and networks) then what will Cloud Applications look like ? HTML ? More important to Flex developers and startups - who is going to build them? What happens when you combine Cloud Computing and Rich Internet Application technology? If you think these are interesting questions then come out for an evening with VMware, Salesforce and Adobe Livecycle and see what is coming.

VMware has volunteered to host SilvaFUG's first special event of 2010 - 'Flex on the Cloud' at the VMware Palo Alto campus. This event would have 3 * 40 minute presentations/discussions covering bleeding/leading edge initiatives for the cloud using Flex:

  • Flash Builder on Salesforce - Building Salesforce Apps with Flash Builder 4 - Marcus Spohn, Director Product Management, Integration, Salesforce will talk about the new Adobe® Flash® Builder™ for Force.com, a jointly developed integrated development environment (IDE) that gives developers a single, powerful tool for building cloud-based rich Internet applications (RIAs), which can easily be deployed to end users through the browser via the Adobe® Flash® Player, or directly to the desktop using the Adobe® AIR® runtime.
