London 'unconference' giving developers interested in portable devices the opportunity to discuss their issues and find solutions.
Sponsored by Intel, Creative Assembly and developer blog SoftTalk, DevMob 2010 will include as much input as possible from developers themselves.
Already confirmed to speak are Chippy Paine of www.midmoves.com, who will discuss applications in the context of device size, and Ric Broadhurst, technical director of Creative Assembly, who will take questions on multithreading and graphics. His company developed the Total War games series, so he will have some valuable insight to share. There will also be a representative from Intel available to take questions on the Intel Atom Developer Program and a technical 'how to' on developing for the mobile Linux platform, Moblin.
We’re keen to make this event informal and to include input from as many people as possible. If you’ve got something you’d like to present (or just talk about for a few minutes), or even an idea for the event you’d like to share with us, please let us know and I’ll do my best to make it possible. The event could be a valuable forum for discussing your challenges with your peers, and we want to make it as easy as possible for everyone to network and interact.
