Hi everyone we are putting together a LAMP Development Series where people can come and learn how to set up a LAMP server, for beginners and experts. This series will be held on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Please mark your calendars, you won't want to miss this!
First Meet - Getting ready with basic Linux setup:
- Install Ubuntu 9.10 Server x64
- Install and configure base system (SSH and security)
Second Meet - Configuring your LAMP setup:
- Install Apache, MySQL, PHP 5, and phpMyAdmin
- Install Python
- Install PHP PEAR, PECL, and common extensions
- Install Memcached and test it with PHP
Third Meet - Deploying your LAMP application:
- Install XTP Framework (first public release!)
- Tweak MySQL settings
- Deploy your LAMP application
