Android has been giving iPhone Apps a run for money.
The beauty of Android is that you don't need to pay a penny to anyone for development, deployment, testing or distribution. Of course, you need to pay a developer. But thats it.
And it runs on many phones and tablets.
At our next presentation, one of our members, Rory, will be giving a talk on how to get started with Android.
Rory will also go beyond the basics of tools, deployment and testing and will discuss how to create an Android application that communicates with a website / web application.
Schedule:
17:30 for 18:00 - Registration and Open Networking
18:00 to 19:30 - Presentation on Android
19:30 to 20:00 - Questions and Answers and Open Networking
20:00 - End of the event
There will be a raffle for one license of JetBrains ReSharpner.
There will be teas, coffees, soft drinks, wines, beers and nick nacks available to keep us going.
