Party at the Cajun Zydeco music festival at Traders Village, one of the world’s largest flea markets, and sell your unwanted items.  We’ll rent seller space, in front of the music stage.   If you’re a seller, the Meetup Organizers would appreciate your donating 20% of your sales to the group—to help pay for space and Meetup fees.  If joining in to party, event is free.

11AM to 5PM.

Though this event is a party, it is also a Web 2.0 project. Why?

  1. Craigslist, a competitive means, runs risks of personal security during transactions and requires an inordinate amount of time to answer web questions.
  2. By using Meetup to aggregate sellers, and networking and partying at the same time, the attendees can make money while networking and partying.
  3. We can experiment with photos, Twitter, etc. to see if these enhance any sales activities.
  4. I gotta get rid of stuff in my closet.  J

This is a multi-Meetup event, so there will be many people there.

For those who RSVPed after FRIDAY, April 1, 5PM--

Come and party with us, but we may not have much room in the booth, so bring only small items and check with us at space 3064.
