Hi everyone!
To start our new year of meetups, we're going to have a couple different speakers present on a Selenium use case they've encountered. Similar to the White Board Night or the Lightning Talks meetup, the topics will be varied, but technical, and you'll walk away having learned something new.
Our four speakers are:
Eric Allen, a developer at Sauce Labs. He will be speaking about Selenium's Proxy Server. He'll share some neat things it can do besides just running Selenium, including fixing invalid SSL certificates, recording HTTP traffic, and injecting Javascript.
Dan Fabulich, Senior QA Engineer at Redfin. He will discuss using Selenium to automatically test files on disk, a technique that can substantially improve performance while reducing or even eliminating test flakiness.
Lalitha Padubidri, Lead QA Engineer at Riverbed. She'll go over their Python-based Selenium infrastructure, Selenium Grid, Factory Method, Pyperl, plus much more, in addition to problems/issues and plans for the future.
Alois Reitbauer, Technology Strategist at dynaTrace Software. He will share how to integrate your Selenium tests with dynaTrace Ajax, a free tool that allows automatic capturing of performance data, analysis of typical performance problems, and capturing exact execution information. This helps in analyzing performance and functional problems.
Many thanks to our friends at OPOWER for agreeing to host this meetup. See you in a few weeks!
