Delphi and GIS

    hi,
         for creating an GIS application, i intend to use Delphi as my front end. using Delphi, i plan to create an graphical user interface. the selections made by an user using this interface are to be represented as XML files and these files are transmitted to a server that interprets these XML fiels and does the required processsing.
          my question is: is it possible to represent the user selections in Delphi as XML files?
