Simulation with Java

    [arial]Hi Everyone![/arial]
         Can anyone help me out there?
    Well, I'm a university student and I have to start my final year project!
    I wanted to do a project on:
      "Simulation of an accident along a road and resulting traffic congestion"
    But here, Java was proposed to be the underlying technology!
    I do have a knowledge of Java. But I'm thinking of doing it with Java3D!
    Can anyone guide me upon how I can tackle such a project?
