Copying conditional formatting rules to another cell

Excel , Conditional Formatting , formulas Providence, United States

I am trying to re-work a sheet created using Excel 2000, and I am using 2007. I have inconsistent usage of formatting rules. in a given cell, formatting rules are referencing cells in a different area of the sheet that are not related. When I edit the formatting rule, the font window is disabled as is the size.

    The overall question is:

Can I copy the formatting rules from one cell to another with the formulas adjusted to the cell's new location. I am just dangerous enough to know that I need help. i am trying to expand my horizons and do not know VB.

If I am confusing in my presentation, I apologize. I am bored on a Friday night.

    Thanks in advance...
