We are an official Adobe community. We focus on all web technologies and design. This includes CSS, jQuery, User Experience Design, Flash, Dreamweaver and much more. It is free to join, you must be a member to enjoy any swag or software from Adobe.We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at JCCC at 12345 College Bvld, OPKS, 66210 on the 2nd floor of the Regnier Technology Center next to the new museum.

    Do to the upcoming launch of CS6 we are changing plans for May!OUR MAY MEETING IS ACTUALLY TWO EVENTS: A PARTY TO CELEBRATE ADOBE'S LAUNCH OF CS6 AND THE D2W CONFERENCE IN KANSAS CITY.We're putting together a celebration of the launch of CS6 and the Creative Cloud. Details are still being worked out, but we have a date for your calendar: it's Wednesday night, May 16, 2012. Of all the things we don't have locked in yet, we DO know these things: *It's going to be a party!

  • JQuery and Ajax - Two buzzwords that go great together

    Budding designer and developer, Passionate creator, Aspiring student...These are some of the words used to describe this months presenter, Shane Daniel. Shane will take us on an odyssey of exploration as we learn about using jQuery with Ajax.Ajax is short for asynchronous JavaScript and XML. Although the term doesn't neccessarily refer to XML any more, with Ajax web applications can send data to, and retrieve data from, a server asynchronously.

    Our To Do app build is starting to take shape as the design was worked on last month.  This month we'll review the work that was accomplished, finalize a group design to build, and start taking a look at the the code technologies for the upcoming build.It's not to late to join us and learn some PHP, jQuery, and Fireworks as we build a To Do List application from the ground up.

    Since we will have two hours, I asked if that was enough time to present on both, and he agreed - one hour for CF Builder 2 and one hour for Playbook with AIR and ColdFusion.This meeting just became jam-packed with great information and inspiration, if you attend one meeting this year, it doesn't get much better than this in Kansas City!In case you didn't know or haven't heard, AIR 2.6 runs on iOS (iPhone/iPad) as well as Android, and other mobile OSes.

  • Wireframing with Fireworks: A todo list continuation

    Dee, Marc, and Derek have stepped up to explain the process of wireframing in Fireworks to the group.  We'll then take our requirements list from the last meeting and create the wireframes for our To-Do Web App.  Since this project is all about being hands on please bring a thumb drive to all meetings going forward.  This way you can take your work with you and continue throughout our application build.

  • Designing for Mobile Web

    Learn more about current/best practices in designing mobile web sites, which phones require WAP sites, and screen resolution requirements. Also discuss hardware requirements/limitations and ways to design dynamic mobile sites without having to use Flash. In addition, a brief talk about technologies available on phones (i.e., video formats, audio formats, graphic formats, etc.)If someone local wants to volunteer, great, otherwise I'll find a speaker for this idea.Dee

  • May - Grow your own developer

    Flash Catalyst and Flash Builder - Grow your own developer series.We will be doing a hands-on meeting. You'll learn how to use Flash Catalyst, round trip from Fireworks, Illustrator or Photoshop, create working buttons, sliders etc. and send it to Flash Builder.
