To maximize revenues and satisfy customer expectations, organizations must deliver 'always on' availability to company and customer information. In this session, Scott McCarty will review his experiences developing two applications (eyemg.Alive and eyemg.Fortitude) in MySQL.

Scott McCarty studied at the University of Akron, graduating with with a Degree in Anthropology with a minor in Computer Science. He managed super computers at NASA Glenn Research Center for 7 years. After that, he managed nearly 1000 Linux servers in a high availability environment at www.americangreetings.com. Currently, he develops high availability systems for eyemg.com using MySQL, Redhat Linux, and Apache.
