Thank you to Tim Palac for our February deep dive into Wordpress. His enthusiastic look at programming and the unique work method he uses provided additional insight for those of us using Wordpress.

Join us on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 7PM when Biagio Bucaro, JD from the Law Office of Biagio Bucaro LLC will present "Cyberlaw for Web Designers and Developers." Biagio will provide a high level overview of the following relevant areas impacting web designers and developers:

  • Proposal & Contract Development
  • Subcontractor Agreements
  • Licensing Agreements
  • Non-disclosure agreements
  • Copyright & Work for Hire
  • E-commerce Issues
  • Privacy Policy & Terms of Use

We will meet at Boocoo Cultural Center, 1823 Church Street, Evanston 60201. There is a free parking lot across the street that belongs to Evanston Township High School open for our use. Otherwise, there should be ample street parking along Dodge Avenue or Church Street. Like any semi-urban area, there have been crime reports in this neighborhood in the past. There is no need to be unduly alarmed... just use good sense as you come and go to your car. If you change your mind about coming, please do us the courtesy of changing your RSVP to "NO" to make room for other attendees.

In April William Melody will present information on SASS. If you want a preview on SASS—what it is and how it works, Chris Coyier did a videocast that you may want to preview. http://bit.ly/iaT0Nv

I have it on the best of authority that spring will come to Chicago. In the mean time, enjoy the winter that keeps on giving :-).
