From Concept to Creation
with Stephen Burns
"One of the blessings and sometimes curses of being an artist is that we have an innate drive to create. It is my belief that for artists it is a true need. Our minds are unique in that way because we are always trying to find some concept to visually share with the world. Every artist has their preferred medium so why do we chose digital as our platform to create? I believe it's because the computer gives us the capability to create using all creative traditions like Photography, Painting, Compositing and 3D to name a few." — Stephen Burns
Stephen's presentation will continue the venture of being artists by showing how to blend Photography, Painting, and 3D into a single unique vision. Although Stephen will address technique, this presentation will go beyond the technical toward the creative spirit. Read More below...
AVAST Maties! Pirates need After Effects, too with Terry Syndergaard
Our fearless leader, Terry Syndergaard, will tackle a big budget Disney movie with a flaw - the much dreaded crew member in the shot. Yes, even the Disney Studios let one slip by occasionally. Near the end of "Curse of the Black Pearl" a crew member wearing cowboy hat and sunglasses is clearly visible. Terry will demonstrate his After Effects powers of exorcism to get the devil out, and restore the integrity of the Pirates franchise. (Wow! When will someone offer this guy a job?!)
AHOY! The benefit to you? This same technique can remove unwelcome wedding guests, remove that microphone in the shot, or add a squirrel to your family hike video - Get Creative!
Bonnie Erdrich, co-manager and fearless in her own right, says she has a tip for Newcomer's Corner — a secret so far.
