This is a joint meetup with the Graphic Designer Meetup group. I have pushed Sara - the organizer of the graphic designer meetup group - to organize a meetup for some time now and she finally accepted to do it :) This will be a great opportunity to bring the two meetup groups together.
Why Typography? Because it is everywhere: in print, on the web, on TV... Having a good knowledge of typography can help you tremendously improve your design skills.
For this meetup, we will have two experts cover this topic: Adam Wintle and Nicolas Dali. Adam Wintle will talk about steps from print to web and Nicolas Dali will talk about layout, good/bad design, choosing typefaces. Both of them are talented designers.
