David Keneda, Creative Director of Sencha and one of the original inventors of Sencha Touch will give a demo of Sencha touch and it's usefulness for App UI's. "As the core method of interaction in a touch-based app, robust touch events are vital to the framework's architecture. On top of the standard events supported by the browser like touchstart and touchend, we have added a long list of custom events that can be used like tap, double tap, swipe, tap and hold, pinch, and rotate." http://www.sencha.com/products/touch/

Francois Laberge: Tales from Node Knockout app/game hackathon http://nodeknockout.com/ (yes some pretty wild looking great stuff there) and a multiplayer.js announcement. Details forthcoming form Francois soon. What is node.js? It's a new, fast, and relatively easy cloud technology people are using for mobile and web apps and games

Node Knockout entrants to do post mortems TBD, going to chat to more of those Node Knockout teams to pop in and strut their bleeding edge creations. In the mean time, review one of their rules below:

Miscellaneous Node Nockout Rule to live by: Don’t break any laws. Don’t harm any animals (especially potbellied pigs). Wear sunscreen and have fun. This is all for fun and glory, so don’t hurt yourself.

stay tuned for more details
