High Availability at Braintree
Uptime is important for any application, but it's absolutely critical for apayment gateway. At Braintree, our goal is zero downtime for our merchants. We tackle high availability in some unique ways using ruby as one of our main tools.
Specifically, this talk will focus on:
* Performing maintenance in small (30 second) windows
* Suspending traffic during small maintenance windows to prevent downtime
* Automating infrastructure changes
