American higher education is considered by many to be the best in the world.

However, there are many issues in academia that need to be addressed: inequitable admissions policies at selective institutions, impacted public universities, skyrocketing tuition rates, budget problems, the student loan crisis, overemphasis on big time college sports programs, questionable for-profit institutions, etc.

We'll conduct a brief survey of these issues and then come up with an agenda for future meetings. We can go in depth on each issue at later sessions. Perhaps we can schedule guest speakers for future events.

Our goal is provide a forum for discussion -- leading to conclusions and action steps to bring about real change.

There's great food at student prices here if you want to grab a bite.
