American higher education is considered by many to be the best in the world.

However, there are many issues in academia that need to be addressed:  inequitable admissions policies at selective institutions, impacted public universities, skyrocketing tuition rates, budget problems, the student loan crisis, overemphasis on big time college sports programs, questionable for-profit institutions, etc.

We'll conduct a brief survey of these issues and then come up with an agenda for future meetings. We can go in-depth on each issue at later sessions.  We  may  schedule guest speakers for future events.

Our goal is provide a forum for discussion -- leading to conclusions and action steps to bring about real change.

We can apply a solution-oriented approach to clearly defined problems from  various perspectives --  political, social, economic, and business.
