Our April meeting will be Wednesday, April 18, 7PM at coLab Evanston, 900 Chicago Ave., Suite 104, Evanston. If you have been participating in the Wordpress Hackathon, this is Part 3 of the 4 part process. The discovery and research has been completed, we have a design in place and now the Chicago Web Professionals will take on the task of development and implementation of features for the C3 (Chicago Creative Coalition) website.
If you have not attended the first two sessions, come and see how this website is taking shape, how we plan to develop it and what plug-ins we'll use. We'll finalize the scheme for categories and permissions. Most importantly, we'll assign roles for people who would like to participate in the day long hackathon Saturday, May 19. Yes folks... that's a whole Saturday of fun!
There will be theme developers, plug-in researchers and implementers, content creators, image creators and preparers and a couple brave folks to manage the process! If you'd like a role on the hackathon day, be sure to come to this session. If you are a photographer and want to create imagery that supports the design for the website, please join us! If you are a writer, come and help us create some kickbutt copy for C3! If you want to observe, you are welcome to do that as well. Good ideas won't be turned down. Or come for the drink and food and enjoy being in Evanston's premier coworking space, coLab Evanston.
